Fairfield Fitness Center Inc. has served as the management company for the Fairfield Athletic Club since 1994. President, John Holladay, began the company at the request of Fairfield Village Community Association and Friendswood Development Company, the developer of Fairfield. Mr. Holladay  previously worked with Friendswood beginning in 1980, after playing professional tennis around the world including three years competing at Wimbledon. He managed and promoted the Copperfield Racquet & Health Club for Friendswood  from 1980 to 1987 as part of the Copperfield community amenities -  and later purchased the facility and continued to operate the Club which served the master planned community of 7000 homes, until he sold it in 2004.

Here in Fairfield, the Fairfield Fitness Center and Fairfield Village Community Association work together to organize, manage and continually build Fairfield Athletic Club to make it one of the finest private neighborhood facilities of its kind anywhere in Texas. The other longstanding employees of FFC Inc., are FAC Director Darlene Sedelmyer, who has been with the company for over 16 years and Fitness Trainer Charlotte Byrne, who has been offering Personal Training and Group Fitness for 20 years.

The relationship between our company and the Community Association has been built upon the philosophy of creating a secure and private club for the residents that offers traditional sports and fitness programs in a friendly atmosphere. In addition, the FAC is also known for its child friendly programs year round, including Before & After School Care, Summer Camp and the Tennis Academy, which features top ranked juniors. These programs have educated and entertained many children for over 20 years.

During this time, the FVCA and the FFC Inc., have come together to work out a mutually beneficial profit-sharing program that has enabled the facility to continually expand and improve, including major additions to the fitness center and the tennis complex. Management operates the Athletic Club with the goal of making it a source of pride for the neighborhood and enhancing each and every residents' stake in Fairfield. Many thanks to all of the community groups and individuals that have worked with us in the past, including FVCA, FirstService Residential, Fairfield Sports Association, Women's Club, Texas Terrapins, FAST, and Keith, Ault & Swenke Elementary Schools.
