Head Professional

JR grew up in D’Hanis, Texas, just west of San Antonio, where he was a multi-sport athlete in high school, competing in baseball, basketball, and track. He began playing tennis at age 16, a decision that would shape his future. JR qualified for the state tennis tournament twice and continued his career at Prairie View A&M University, playing singles and doubles as well as serving as co-captain from 2003 to 2005. In his final year, he led the team to a NCAA conference championship.

 
 
 

After graduating summa cum laude in Health and Human Performance with a minor in Mathematics in 2005, JR began teaching at the Zina Garrison All Court Tennis Foundation (now Zina Garrison Academy) in Houston, where he worked from 2004 to 2008. He also returned to Prairie View A&M as an assistant coach from 2006 to 2007 and later served as head pro at Huber Tennis Ranch and Director of Tennis for Hearthstone Country ClubCurrently at Fairfield Athletic Club, JR brings the same passion and dedication to coaching as when he first picked up a racquet, focusing on developing players of all levels and instilling the values essential for success on and off the court.

 
 

Lucas White

Tennis Professional

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and raised in our very own Fairfield neighborhood, Lucas started playing tennis at 10 years old. He fully developed his tennis game while training for 6 years with The FAC Tennis Academy and competed all four years of High School on the Bridgeland Varsity Tennis Team. Lucas has proven to be a huge asset for The FAC Tennis Academy coaching staff over the past 4 years, while also attending The University of Houston and majoring in Civil Engineering.
